The event was due to start at 5:15pm, but was thrown into chaos for the organisers, due to Burnley FC's match against Manchester City FC being moved to 5:30pm to accommodate TV.
The hosts for the evening were Burnley Aquatics as they welcomed teams from Kirkham and Garstang, as well as Colne. The three visiting teams pushed each other throughout the course of the evening as they distanced themselves from their hosts. In the end it was Garstang who prevailed by winning with 140 points. Kirkham finished 2nd on 134 points with Colne just behind on 129.5 points. Burnley trailed home in a distant 4th with 72.5 points.
The young Colne swimmers put in a magnificent performance as they managed 23 new personal bests with 13 of those amongst the girls and 10 for the boys.
19th Friendly League

We were hosts to Pioneer 79 in their first fixture in the 2015 North East Lancashire Friendly League.
The gala started well as Colne won the first three races, but after that Pioneer established a strangle-hold on the competition, as they won the next 7 races. Even though Pioneer rattled off the wins, Colne held their own, as the swimmers pushed the visitors all the way, with several races going down to the touch.
In the end Pioneer won the meet with 65 points to Colne’s 53. But it was a supreme effort from the Colne swimmers as they managed 45 new personal bests between them, with 20 for the girls and 25 amongst the boys.

The young swimmers of Colne ASC travelled to the Salt Ayre Leisure Centre in Lancaster for our second fixture in this seasons Micro League of the North West Division C. We were up against our hosts Carnforth B, plus the other visiting teams of Swim Trafford A from Manchester and Lytham St. Annes.

Right from the outset, the team from Trafford showed their intentions by winning thirteen of the first sixteen races and the other three were second places. This trend continued as they won the gala with a massive 179 points, which included winning the last seven races.
The Colne swimmers tried in vain to keep up with our hosts, but the gap between the two teams steadily grew throughout the contest. This meant Carnforth finished in second place with 131 points with Colne in third place on 108 points.
The team from Lytham St. Annes struggled throughout the entire contest as they finished in a distant forth place with 61 points.

The effort produced by the Colne swimmers resulted in them winning 5 of the 49 races, but if you ruled out Trafford who won 36 races, then Colne won 5 of the remaining 13 races. Throughout the course of the evening the Colne swimmers produced a further 10 new personal bests between them with 7 amongst the boys and 3 for the girls.
